Emotional Expression & Exploration Workshop
Within this fast-paced world, it is easy to get caught up in constantly doing and never feeling. We are taught to depend on our brains and logic to make decisions but often get caught in over-rationalizing thought loops that keep us from seeing what is best for us. We may find ourselves stuck in constant stress, stuck in chronic symptoms (like pains, fatigue, anxiety), stuck not feeling like ourselves, or stuck not knowing what we want anymore. But we each have an underutilized superpower that can help guide us when we feel stuck – our emotions.
Who:
This workshop is designed for anyone looking to delve deeper into their emotions, to explore what emotions have to teach us, and to reconnect with a truer, deeper version of themselves.
This workshop is also appropriate for anyone looking to explore how suppressed and unresolved emotions and stress may be playing a role in promoting chronic pain, illness, anxiety, and other symptoms (see more information about the connection between chronic symptoms and suppressed emotions on the COACHING page).
No prior experience necessary.
What’s Included:
Why we suppress emotions
Science connecting emotional suppression to the development and progression of chronic pain, illness, anxiety, and other symptoms

Final Thoughts:
Emotional expression is an innate part of being human. It is not a weakness, but one of our biggest strengths. When we learn to allow ourselves to feel, we can balance our minds and discover a deeper connection with our bodies, hearts, and the truths of who we are and what we want for our lives.
About the Instructor
Allison Andraski, Ph.D.
Allison’s background is in science and biomedical research. She completed her Ph.D. and postdoctoral research training at Harvard University. Allison also recently recovered from a multi-year journey of chronic pain and illness. Her symptoms ranged from multiple body pains to headaches, fatigue, and brain fog. During this journey, Allison went to dozens of doctors and tried therapies, injections, medications, etc., but the biggest key to her healing was learning to feel and express her emotions. Allison is passionate about helping others feel and heal.
What participants are saying
I can easily say that the emotional expression workshop changed my life. Not only has it changed the way I think about pain, but also how I relate to and understand anxiety and fear. Allison did a beautiful job combining research and learning about the approach with actually practicing, experiencing, and integrating it. This has allowed me to reach back for these exercises when pain flares up, even when I only have a few minutes.

Allison is exceptionally knowledgeable and professional. She provided a safe space for me to explore my emotions in a way that I have never done before. The emotions workshop is scientifically based and helped me understand how emotions affect and can perpetuate my physical chronic symptoms. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to gain deeper insights into improving their emotional and physical well-being.
- Staci
I highly recommend this workshop to anyone who is looking for healthy ways to explore emotional expression. I've found it can be difficult to feel my emotions to their full extent. I'm a fairly self-aware person, but I'm learning that the extent to which I've been consciously aware of my emotions is only a partial picture. By learning to visualize, draw, journal, and "talk" to my emotions, a lot more depth of understanding, connection, and emotional processing was evoked from Allison's class. Even though each class was 2 hours long, they went quickly! Her classes weren't like most 2-hour classes where after 90 minutes I'm ready to do something else. At the end of each class, I was still engaged and intrigued.
